  • Food

    St Kilda's Galleon Cafe

The furniture looks like it was picked up at a garage sale for a couple of bucks, strangers share tables and there is a line out the front on weekends as though it were the hottest club in town. When you receive your meal and your taste buds make contact with the food, you will understand why.

Location: 9 Carlisle St, St Kilda
    Meals: $3-$15

  • Watch

    Damages

If you missed it the first time it aired in Australia, then now is the time to get on board and give the first series of Damages a go. This intelligent & exciting drama keeps you on the edge. Starring the gorgeous Rose Byrne, award winning Glenn Close and Ted Danson. If you like season one, the second season, currently airing in the US, will not disappoint.

  • Go

    Lure Hairdressing

This place is aesthetically very cool; think Austin Powers meets The Jetsons. They play great music and have some very talented German boys on hand to do wonderful things to your precious mane.

    Location: 311 Smith St, Fitzroy
    Phone: 03 9419 5507

  • Shop

    Idaho Vintage

Two friends, one shop. Pop next door after breakfast at The Galleon Cafe and pick up some of the great pieces this place has to offer. Vintage clothing for all seasons and styles; label Joachim Vintage, shoes, belts, sunglasses, bags and furniture are all there. Some of the vintage pieces have even been revamped for a more fresh, modern feel.

Also find a bit of mid century, re-cycled, re-claimed timber works of art from their friend Mr Hatton. They also have Matt on board from thehumblevintage.com... the shop used to be st Kilda cycles, a bit of a Melbourne icon, so they are very happy to be keeping up the tradition renting out vintage bikes...
