Punktober

Week two - October 8, 2008

  • See

    Punk - A photographic Journey

It's the last week of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. What not go and see some art this weekend.
Punk - A Photographic Journey is a exhibition of contemporary punk images ranging from mohawks and spiked hair to studded and painted jackets, bullet belts and padlock necklaces. These photos have been taken in Melbourne within the last 3 years, not only at punk concerts but also at the infamous Melbourne 'Punk Pub Crawl'. The concept for this body of work has come from the artists love of punk fashion, music and attitude - especially the 'up yours' images and attitude that have become so famous from punk in the UK.
