  James Dean plays Jim Stark, a troubled teen who moves to a new town to find friends, enemies and of course, love. It portrays the dangerous games played by teenage boys in pursuit of excitement which ultimately lead to tragedy.

  This film was one of James Dean's last, made in 1955; the year of his death. This is the role which fixed his image forever in American culture; that of the brooding, red jacketed teenager.
